THE PAPANUI-INNES Community
Board needs to come clean and tell the
public what’s going on inside their board.
We report on page 1 today how an independent
facilitator – that’s a fancy term
for a referee – needed to be called into help
resolve problems within the board.
The board, chaired by public relations consultant Ali Jones, is
refusing to say what the specific issues are.
But clearly there’s a clash between outspoken board member
John Stringer and Jones. We hear board members don’t
like Stringer talking to the media – particularly about the
controversial Main North Rd bus lane issue.
So I’m going to give the board some good PR advice: Tell your
constituents what’s going on.
There’s an election next year.
