After graduating High School, she moved to Edmonton where in 1986 she was given the opportunity to join The Bay Hearing Aid Centre as a trainee. Although she found this work extremely rewarding, she also found the pace of an ever-growing city quite overwhelming and longed to slow things down. That was when she visited Three Hills for the first time. After spending 30+ years working for someone else, she decided it was time to venture out on her own. Since we moved into our new and improved location off hi-way 41, we have been fortunate enough to expand and prosper. We now employ 5 licensed Optometrists and have 14 assistants on our team. Our new space offers numerous improvements, which allows us to serve our patients and customers even better as we move forward! We have doubled the number of exam rooms for a total of six. This will allow our doctors to care for more patients, reduce waiting time and help you get on with your day. An accommodating elevator will take you to our second floor where you will be greeted by our welcoming front desk staff. The new and improved waiting area features a cozy atmosphere and a unique “play house” for your little ones; and free Wi-Fi for the adults! The Frame Gallery has state of the art showcases to display our large selection of stylish frames and sunglasses for all ages. Prairie Vision continues to host an onsite lab to make selected prescriptions on a same day basis. All of our cutting edge technology will continue to be available in our new space. Instruments such as the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer, the Optical Coherence Tomographer and our retina imaging system (California Optomap) will provide specialized testing for glaucoma and other ocular diseases. We now have an exam room that allows for wheel chair accessible eye exams. This means there will be less transferring of these patients using wheelchairs into the exam room chair than previous. As we want to offer “one-stop shop” service, we also offer Vision Therapy; we proudly employ the first Canadian certified vision therapist from Alberta. Prairie Vision has been providing excellent vision services for over 25 years in our community and are committed to bringing new dreams and new visions year after year. The Rangeland Veterinary Clinic (1995) Ltd. located just off of highway 41, offers full veterinary services medical and surgical, for both large and small animals. Dr. Weeks has been through the BSE crisis alongside the cattle producers.
