The reindeer are always a hot favourite with
children and adults alike, so don’t miss out!
“Other animals closely linked to the Christmas
Story also have Lincoln in their sights. On
December 13 three magnificent camels
will lead the much-loved annual children’s
Lantern Parade, which will wend its way from
City Square up to Castle Hill, starting at 5pm.
Everyone is invited to enjoy a Carol Service
when the parade arrives at its destination,”
said Mr Armstrong.
Once again, the World-famous Lincoln
Christmas Market (Dec 6 to 9) is set to
deliver an unmissable and magical experience
for new and returning visitors from at home
and overseas and there will be other markets
to enjoy in the city too.
Finally, it wouldn’t be Christmas without
another essential feature of the festive and
New Year season - the traditional pantomimes
and shows.
This year’s selection includes Peter Pan at
Lincoln Drill Hall (Dec 6 to Jan 5) and Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs at Lincoln’s New
Theatre Royal (Dec 4 to Jan 6).
The Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC)
is also staging Rapunzel (Dec 12 to 24) and
Penguins! Penguins! Penguins! (Dec 17 to 31).
Lincoln’s unique blend of historic and modern
attractions provide the perfect backdrop for a
brilliant mix of festive fun and great shopping
too, because our amazing selection of national
retailers and quirky independent shops also
make it easy to track down that special gift.
