The RRD Squid was designed with freeriding in mind. It is extremely maneuverable and provides the rider with constant feedback and control due to the light and stiff construction. The quad concave not only gives the board grip as a skim board, but it also provides more rigidity, thus improving the overall stiffness. These four channels, coupled with a moderate nose rocker, allow the board to drive forward and upward on touchdowns with the foil. The Squid’s deck is covered with full ‘EVA brushed top striped groove’ and can be used in the foil configuration, with foot straps, or as a strapless board.
Four channel box inserts on the bottom of the board allow multiple positions of the foil plate to achieve a perfect micrometric trim for your sessions. The foil base plate is reinforced with a unidirectional carbon stringer that runs from tip to tail, adding to the board stiffness and quality construction while the small tail fins with moderate tail kick allow the Squid to cruise effortlessly through the waves. Take foiling to the next level, travel with ease, and be prepared because light wind will be no concern with the new RRD Squid multi-purpose hydrofoil skimboard.
