MAKING YOUR WORK SPACE
WARM AGAIN

The first step for our new workspace was to take
apart the things we already had and clean them
up, ensuring no dust or oils were on them and
they were dry. The biggest part of the project was
painting the peg board. This was also what we
wanted to use, to set the mood. Starting with the
lightest to darkest, we layered the colors down
one after the other creating a fabulous gradient.
In no time at all.
For the pen basket, a simple recycled tin can
came in handy. We had cleaned it out so it
too was ready to paint and become the new
(practical) and gorgeous pen and marker holder.
We used Dolomite and Basalt again to tie in two
of the boxes with the tin and basket, but chose
Asphalt as a third color to break the contrast a
little.
The final touch was putting it all together.
We placed the basket and tin where we thought it
looked good and worked well, then attached
them with our new nuts and bolts. With the left
space we attached a few other bolts so we could
use them to hang other items we’re always looking
for like scissors and tape.

Granit Pots for your Herb Garden
Once the sun comes out, making a stop at a local
garden shop is pretty much the single most
awesome thing to do, but buying beautiful plants
and stylish flower pots can be quite pricy. This
DIY project will allow you to spend more money
on the plants themselves and save a few bucks
on overpriced pots. Although priming your pot is
optional, we do recommend it because it will make
the actual paint job with the GRANIT Effect
spray a lot easier, since you will need less coats
to achieve the look we’re going for.

Customized Easter Eggs
With Montana spray paints, you can turn simple
eggs into ornate table decoration in no time at all.
Spray the egg until it is fully covered with paint.
It is better to apply several thin layers to avoid
drips or uneven coating. It’s that easy! Just repeat
with as many eggs as you like.

STUNNING PAPER BAGS
FOR ANY OCCASION

Crackle Effect Deco Bags
Receiving gifts is a guilty pleasure that everyone
can relate to. But have you ever found yourself
admiring the paper bag that the gift came in
almost more than the gift itself? We have..
And when we see something that is simplistically
beautiful, we get ideas. We set out to create
eye catching paper deco gift bags, that could be
a gorgeous head turning feature however they
were used. The CRACKLE Effect seemed to be
the perfect solution.
Once dry, the bags soon became a celebration
of all things spring and the fresh tulips we bought
at the market that morning found a new home
inside the glasses. We added some water and
placed them in our spritely looking bags. The
adhesive letters were a great nuance and the word
spring looked fantastic on the CRACKLE Effect
spray background.

Copper Metallic
Lamps
CREATE EXCITING LIGHTING FOR YOUR
HOME WITH THIS DIY PROJECT

For this project, you will need a hanging light
shade, a drop sheet, a pair of latex gloves, a
mask, some masking tape and one or two cans
of Montana GOLD paints in coordinating colors
of your choice. We chose Montana GOLD cans
SH9000 Shock Black and M2000 Copperchrome.
Before your start, you need to decide whether
you’d prefer to paint the inside of the lamp in a
coordinating color or not. Depending on the
color you have chosen and the color of the lamp
you are using, it might not be necessary.

Oven Dry Clay
Drink Coasters
PROTECTS AND DECORATES
YOUR TABLE, ALL AT ONCE

Oven Dry Clay Drink Coasters
Find a clean and dry working surface. Using approximately
80 grams of oven dry clay per
coaster. Roll the off cuts into a ball so you can
use it again before your clay dries out. Carefully
place your cut coasters on the baking paper in
your baking tray and insert into your oven. Allow
3 days for complete cooling and drying. If required,
sand your edges and imperfections out with
fine sand paper into the surface you want.
Clean your coasters free of dust and put them on
your drop sheet, some old newspaper or even
old towel. After putting on your gloves and mask,
shake all your cans for 2-3 minutes before use.
If you don’t have a mask, we recommend at least
spraying outdoors in a well ventilated area. Take
your chosen Montana GOLD colors and spray
the base of your coasters. Allow them to dry, turn
them over and apply thin even coats to the upper
sides.
Once dry, re-shake your MARBLE Effect cans
and apply the color of choice to the Montana
GOLD base color of choice. Now you are nearly
done. All you need to do is let this dry completely
and apply a Montana VARNISH spray of your
choice to seal the coasters so they too don’t get
damaged from spilt drinks or food.
We chose Semi Gloss so that glasses or cups
could not adhere to our coasters.

with fashionable color that will glow in UV light.
Yup, real live glow in the dark shoes for grown
ups. You only need to decide how much of
the toe of your shoe you would like to cover

Decorative Ombré Stools
We gave these stools an amazing two tone treatment.
Using the ombré aesthetic means fading
colors of a same or similar tone to create a smooth
gradient. And that‘s just what we wanted to achieve.
So on one chair we first applied the Montana
GOLD Baby Skin to the whole chair, and on the
other Montana GOLD Buzzard.
Pay attention to the fading between your colors
ensuring you take time, and achieve the effect you

Nightglow Champagne
Glasses
GLOW IN THE DARK
PARTY GLASSES

Nightglow Champagne Glasses
To avoid paint getting anywhere near parts of the
glasses where we could consume it, we masked
the outside top half of the glass with masking
tape and taped the top of the glasses completely
closed so no paint could get in.
We turned to our trusty Montana GOLD can in the
color Shock White first as this would be the
ideal white undercoat to allow the NIGHTGLOW
to emit the most light possible. We sprayed one
even coat on all the masked glasses making sure
the handles and bases were well covered. The
stronger the light the glasses are charged in,
the more energy is stored and thus emitting more
light later.

Colorful Metallic
Stars
TIMELESS DECOR FOR
ANY SEASON

We found some stunning metal decor stars that
were begging for a face lift. When we got them
home, we cleaned them free of dust and oils, and
left them to dry. Once we set up the drop sheet
in our work space, we then turned our attention to
gathering the other materials and shaking the
cans. Gloves – check! Mask – check! Cord to
hang the stars later – check! That was easy, so
off to the garage to get the Montana METALLIC
Effect colors and the Montana Metal PRIMER.
After only a few steps, we were delighted as to
how beautiful the stars had become. Each one
a classic piece of decor, a symbol and a fantastic
tool to pep-up any room in the house.

EYE CATCHING TABLE DECOR THAT

Hologram Table Décor
This spray is translucent, loaded with colorful
glitter particles which catch the light creating a
one-of-a-kind holographic effect. The golden
rule with the Montana HOLOGRAM Effect is that
the effect is most visible on dark surfaces which
makes it even more glamorous. Remember to
shake the can extremely well before you start
and after every pause as otherwise the particles
could sink to the bottom of the can.
