TRANSFORMER OILS<br />
Transformer oils or insulating oils are highly refined<br />
mineral oils or low-viscosity silicone oils which<br />
are stable at high temperatures. They are used in<br />
high-voltage technology in transformers, capacitors<br />
and switches for insulation, spark suppression, lubrication<br />
(e. g. of step switches) and cooling (e. g. in<br />
power electronics).<br />
