WHITE OILS
White oils are paraffin oils, whereby a distinction
must be made between technical and medical
white oils. Technical white oils are mainly used
in lubricants, weapon oils, furniture polishes and
the plastic industry. Technical white oils are very
stable with respect to environmental influences.
They do not harden and cannot become rancid.
Medical grade white oils (Paraffinum liquidum) are
used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries;
these products are odourless and tasteless. Medical
white oils are also used in the food industry and
also as production oils for food-safe plastics. Both
grades are available in different viscosity classes.
