perfect execution. India is one of the<br />

world's largest music markets with<br />

more than one billion music lovers and<br />

strong economic growth. Indian music<br />

is based on rhythms and melodies but<br />

more importantly it is more concern<br />

with vibrant colors of the rich musical<br />

heritage and wide range of vivid<br />

emotions and expressions. AD<br />

1. You could have easily cont<strong>in</strong>ued a<br />

career <strong>in</strong> the corporate world.<br />

Instead, you choose music, was it all<br />

about your passion’s call? Enlighten<br />

us about your journey from the<br />

beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> your carrier.<br />

I have always been passionate about<br />

music and s<strong>in</strong>ce early childhood, I<br />

have been tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g for the same.<br />

Alongside music, I cont<strong>in</strong>ued <strong>to</strong> pursue<br />

my academic <strong>in</strong>terests which helped<br />

me atta<strong>in</strong> a degree <strong>in</strong> Chemical<br />

Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g and MBA <strong>in</strong> Sales &<br />

Market<strong>in</strong>g. <strong>The</strong>reafter I worked for<br />

various highly applauded corporate<br />

companies like Zee Telefilms, Tata<br />

Group (Indian hotels), Citibank, HSBC<br />

among others. However, s<strong>in</strong>ce the past<br />

couple years; I’ve been keen <strong>to</strong> devote<br />

more time <strong>to</strong> music with a vision <strong>to</strong><br />

develop and create musical concepts<br />

and themes that would be universally<br />

appeal<strong>in</strong>g and sooth<strong>in</strong>g. So, yes I<br />

believe it was def<strong>in</strong>itely the <strong>in</strong>ner<br />

call<strong>in</strong>g that caused me <strong>to</strong> discont<strong>in</strong>ue<br />

my corporate journey of 15 years and<br />

establish ADVentures. Through the<br />

platform of AD Ventures, both<br />

and I pledge <strong>to</strong> contribute <strong>to</strong> the<br />

society with melodious and mean<strong>in</strong>gful<br />

As artists, there are several occasions<br />

where the audiences assembled at the<br />

event have a different expectation than<br />

what is planned. In such scenarios<br />

where last m<strong>in</strong>ute changes are<br />

expected, I try <strong>to</strong> read my audiences<br />

and deliver accord<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> their<br />

expectations. This judgment I believe<br />

comes through experience and<br />

versatility; the key is <strong>to</strong> stay confident.<br />

3. What do you like most about your<br />

job? What is your fondest musical<br />

memory as you contribut<strong>in</strong>g<br />

dist<strong>in</strong>ctly for social causes?<br />

Be<strong>in</strong>g able <strong>to</strong> contribute <strong>to</strong><br />

humanitarian causes through music<br />

and unit<strong>in</strong>g the hearts and m<strong>in</strong>ds of<br />

the audience across geopolitical and<br />

social strata, is deeply enthrall<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for me. My fondest musical memory<br />

would be perform<strong>in</strong>g for the Indian<br />

Armed Forces. <strong>The</strong> <strong>to</strong>ur was called<br />

‘Mission for Nation’. Gett<strong>in</strong>g an<br />

opportunity <strong>to</strong> spread the joy for<br />

men &amp; women who serve our<br />

nation with commitment & dignity<br />

was by far one of the most<br />

memorable experiences.<br />

I believe a complete musician is the<br />

one who is limitless and <strong>in</strong>f<strong>in</strong>itely<br />

versatile <strong>in</strong> his works of art. From<br />

my early childhood, I have been<br />

tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g for Indian semi-classical<br />

and light music. Besides this, I also<br />

from this, I also perform Western<br />

music as well as contemporary<br />

Bollywood music. By far I have<br />

performed at around 1500 concerts<br />

across 15 countries around the globe<br />

and I strive <strong>to</strong> cont<strong>in</strong>ue and spread<br />

more joy and happ<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>in</strong> the years<br />

<strong>to</strong> come.<br />

7. Describe yourself <strong>in</strong> one or two<br />

words. Who has been your<br />

greatest guide, support, and<br />

source of <strong>in</strong>spiration <strong>in</strong> music?<br />

I would describe myself <strong>to</strong> be a<br />

social enterta<strong>in</strong>er. My mother, Dr.<br />

Anuradha Dabli, who’s a disciple of<br />

Prabha Atre practiced India classical<br />

and light music. It is her <strong>in</strong>fluence<br />

that helped me turn my passion <strong>in</strong><strong>to</strong><br />

a full-time job. As a child, I would sit<br />

beside mom and try <strong>to</strong> imitate her<br />

while she did her ‘riyaz’. Soon this<br />

became a daily activity and from age<br />

five, I started tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g with her – a<br />

practice that we still cont<strong>in</strong>ue.<br />

8. What are your plans & hopes for<br />

the future with regard <strong>to</strong> your<br />

music?<br />

For me, music is not just an art form<br />

but also a form of worship for it has<br />

the ability <strong>to</strong> address and<br />

communicate every s<strong>in</strong>gle emotion<br />

that we as humans experience <strong>in</strong> our<br />

life. I mo<strong>to</strong> is <strong>to</strong> create ‘Music with<br />

a Message’,, which irrespective of<br />

its genre or language, will give the<br />

listeners an experience that is, <strong>in</strong><br />

fact, blissful music and beyond.<br />

Few projects which are <strong>in</strong> pipel<strong>in</strong>e<br />

is another IP called Mental Mettle<br />

which is designed especially for the<br />

youth of our country along with Mr.<br />

SubhashGhai. Other than that my 3<br />

Album, which will be launched by<br />

I would advise the budd<strong>in</strong>g<br />

musicians <strong>to</strong> practice music with<br />

strong medium that will enable them<br />
