Is that the only time we see Jesus submitting to the
Father? No, it certainly isn't. Let's look at two more
scriptures...
I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My
judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will
but the will of the Father who sent Me. John 5:30
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own
will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 6:38
A child says, ”I want to do what I want, when I want
and how I want.”, but a son of God says, “Lord, this is the
dream of my heart and Your Word says that You give me
the desires of my heart, but I want to be certain of what
Your will is in my life because I want to do Your will and
not my own.”
There are certain things that we don't even have to
question because they are already spelled out in the Word.
The Bible says that God wishes above ALL things that we
prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers (3
John 2). It says He wants a relationship with us, that He
loves us and that He knows the plans that He has for us
and they're good and they will give us a future and a hope
(Jeremiah 29:11), but do we really believe that? Jesus, the
Word that became Flesh, died for us. Can we not live for
Him? Do we trust Him? The Bible says in so many places
to have faith in God; not in ourselves, not in our own
faith, not in anything we can do or say, but IN HIM!
We pray and want God to open doors for us; doors that
we can't open ourselves, and yet, how many of us have
our own hand on the doorknob? Submission can simply
be to let go of the doorknob and trust Him to open the
door. To believe Him at his Word and to trust that He has
plans for us that are good and even better than our own.
He knows us better than we know ourselves. He sees
things from a different perspective and knows all of the
factors in every circumstance. Do we really believe that?
A son of God would settle that in their heart and choose to
make Him Lord by trusting and obeying His direction.
Proverbs 3:6 says In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths. What does that look like?
It's constant communication and relationship with Him.
It's involving Him in our daily lives and asking, “Lord,
what do You want me to do about this? What shall we do
today? What's the best choice in this situation for me to
make? He will direct our paths. We must trust His ability
to give directions as though He is the “Local” that has
been around town all His life (Forever) and knows how to
get you where you need to go.
Know that we are joint heirs with Christ. An heir
receives an inheritance and is usually a son or daughter.
When is an inheritance received? When someone dies.
Jesus has indeed died and rose again, so receive! His
glory is within you and the world is waiting to see it
revealed.
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we
are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of
God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with
Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I
consider that the sufferings of this present time are not
worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be
revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation
eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Romans 8:16-19
Did you get that? His glory shall be revealed in us
and the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits
for the revealing of the sons of God! Is this like a curtain
opening on a stage that will show you and me under a
spotlight so that we appear before a waiting audience as
sons of God? I think not! I believe it's up to us to find His
glory that is already deposited in our spirit. In order for us
to reveal it, we must learn how to manifest and release it
into this natural realm.. Another word for reveal is
manifest. Many of us are familiar with what is meant
when someone says a demon is manifesting. It means it
shows up, acts out and reveals itself by its actions and
words. It manifests from the spirit realm into the natural
one. Healing, provision and the promises of God are also
made manifest from the spirit into the natural world in
much the same way. It already exists, we just have to pull
it into our circumstances by faith with the power of God.
Sons of God are manifest in the same way. In our spirits,
His glory is already deposited in us. You already have it!
It's up to us to learn how to tap into it and to release His
Kingdom into this earthly realm at will.
