Parkrunners keep it cool
On Saturday 216 people ran, jogged and walked the course of
the Komani parkrun at the Queenstown Golf Club in cool
weather conditions.
A total of 23 were first timers, while 25 recorded personal
best times.
There were visitors from Port Elizabeth and East London
Congratulations to Stanley Goeiman and Sharon Kriedeman
on completing their 50th parkrun.
development started at the lower level
and this discouraged the youth who
were willing to play.
The LFA’s Ringo Klaas had said the
tournament would start in the first
week of March and the congress was
scheduled for Sunday.
He said one of the challenges the
team faced in the tournament was that
pedestrians had walked across the field
while the match was in progress. The
junior teams also struggled to find
sponsors for football kit and other basic
necessities
The tournament results were: U12
Kaizer United beat Pemba 4-1; and the
U13 Pemba team was beaten 2-1 by
