Scantianum Rosato is<br />
a delightful pale pink<br />
colour. It is light and<br />
fruity, easy to drink<br />
with flavours of apples<br />
and pears and a crisp<br />
finish. It is a blend of 50% Sangiovese and<br />
50% Ciliegiolo. A perfect sundowner on a<br />
summer’s evening.<br />

to full bodied. This wine<br />
has rich and succulent<br />
black fruit flavours with<br />
blackcurrants and black<br />

Grapes were picked mid-September through<br />
early October, placed into small boxes with<br />
holes and placed in a cool room to shrivel,<br />
losing 15% of their weight.<br />

Tasted as an unfinished tank sample, the<br />
2018 is bright in colour with intense aromas<br />
of apples and peaches. In the mouth it is rich<br />
with a ripe fruit mid-palate, complemented<br />
by good acidity and some citrus pith on the<br />
finish, which adds length. Coming from<br />
relatively young vines planted on sandy and<br />
silty soils, the grapes were harvested and<br />
kept at low temperature under a protected<br />
inert atmosphere to preserve maximum<br />
fresh fruit flavours.<br />
