Canada, France, Ireland and Switzerland. It’s going to be a
great weekend! The Delray Beach Tennis Center is located at
201 W. Atlantic Ave. Visit www.delraystpatrickfestival.com for
more information.
Let’s face it, we all have ideas but a lot of them aren’t as
good as others. Fortunately,
we do have a winning idea
in our own backyard. March is
International Ideas Month and
Arts Warehouse has another
winner with their Art Lab
| yoga re-stART program.
Held Saturday, March 9
from 10:30 to 11:30am,
you’re invited to
relax and unwind
in a perfectly
crafted
space with a
few fellow friends.
Instructor Katie Mitchell
will lead an all-levels
Vinyasa yoga class in the
back room gallery that promises
to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. The class will
begin with a myofascial release as you work through muscle
tension using Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls and a slow, mindful
yoga flow. So instead of trying to squeeze in yoga on your living
room floor in between weekend chores and to-do lists, give
into the great idea of treating yourself to a perfectly planned
class in an art gallery. (Your body is a piece of art, right? Zinger.)
Tickets are $15 per person including online registration
fees, and you’re only asked to bring a mat, towel and water.
And, of course, an open and clear mind. The Arts Warehouse
is located at 313 NE Third St. Visit www.artswarehouse.org
or call (561) 330-9614 for more information and to register.
Quinoa or QuinWOW? Quinoa is gluten-free, high in protein
and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine
essential amino acids. So, yeah, that’s why you’ve been
seeing it everywhere. March is Quinoa Month and is a great
time to reconnect with this superfood and treat your body to
all of that good, good. Thankfully the local restaurants are up
on their food trends so if you don’t feel like making quinoa at
home, you sure don’t have to. Start your healthy journey at
PurGreens with their Quinoa Earth Bowl with quinoa, farro,
arugula, tomatoes, corn, chickpeas, broccoli, white cheddar,
roasted chicken and a pesto vinaigrette for $14. Or, take a stab
at Park Tavern’s Kale & Quinoa Salad with pumpkin seeds,
cranberries, roasted chicken and feta for $14. If you’re still
hungry for more, head to Whole Green Cafe and enjoy their
Quinoa Bowl with quinoa, tomato, cucumber, purple cabbage,
carrots, avocado, roasted veggies and a cilantro, lime, yogurt
and garlic dressing for $11.95. Or, check out Deck 84’s Quinoa
Power Bowl with tri-trim-color organic quinoa, broccoli, kale,
radicchio, carrot, avocado, L&W Farms tomato and a citrus
vinaigrette for $16. Whatever your quinoa pleasure, you’re
definitely covered. Visit www.downtowndelraybeach.com for
restaurant location and information.
