IT’S ONLY taken six years, but finally<br />

the Government organisation which<br />

looks after the red zone has woken up to<br />

the need for “no motor-cycle” signs in<br />

Southshore.<br />

Local community board member Tim<br />

Sintes (see page 10) says people using the walking tracks and<br />

beach are in danger. He is worried there will be the odd punchup<br />

too as frustration grows.<br />

Sintes raises a valid point about the motor bikes. The sooner<br />

the signs are put up the better.<br />

And bad news for seagulls on page 3. The city council is looking<br />

at seagull-proof rubbish bins on the north and south ramps.<br />

No doubt they’ll swoop elsewhere for the left over chips and<br />

bits of batter.<br />
