fruit<br />
You can’t come to Cromwell without<br />
sampling the amazing array of fruit<br />
the region has to offer. There are<br />
many fruit stalls around town where<br />
you can buy fresh produce, freshly<br />
made fruit ice cream and a host<br />
of other local products. Some of<br />
the orchards are open to wander<br />
through, offering plenty of photo<br />
opportunities, and many of them<br />
also have pick-your-own packages if<br />

wine<br />
The Cromwell Basin is home to some<br />
of the best Pinot Noir wines in the<br />
world, and there are almost as many<br />
ways to explore the large number of<br />
wineries and cellar doors in the area<br />

If you are still in search of an<br />
adrenaline fix, Cromwell has enough<br />
to keep your blood pumping. Race<br />
around the Highlands track, go on<br />

round of paintball.<br />

Born out of the Otago gold rush,<br />
Cromwell has a rich history that<br />
spans over 150 years. Take a stroll<br />
through the historic buildings in the<br />
Heritage Precinct, visit the Cromwell<br />
Museum or discover more on the<br />
Otago Goldfields Heritage Trail.<br />
REASON 5 – The natural<br />
beauty<br />
Cromwell is full of opportunities to<br />
get back to nature. You can decide to<br />
take it easy with a picnic next to Lake<br />
Dunstan and, if you’re brave enough,<br />
a swim in the crystal clear water.<br />

many fun trails around Cromwell to<br />
