hand raising and caring for orphan baby wallabies<br />
through to adulthood, mostly brought to her by hunters.<br />
This requires much commitment as they need constant<br />
warmth and food.<br />
Gwen loves them all as much today as she did when she<br />
got her first one all those years ago. As visitors meander<br />
among tame wallabies at their own pace, hand feeding<br />
them special pellets, they are fascinated by the animal’s<br />
gentle nature, thus allowing you hassle-free time to feel<br />
at one with nature.<br />
The park is located off the north end of Highway 82 on<br />
Bathgates Road close to Waimate. Watch out for the<br />
Wallaby Park sign and don’t forget your camera!<br />
Open daily from 20th September to 10th June from<br />
10am-5pm. During the off season June 11th to 19th<br />
September the park is open by appointment, weather<br />
dependant or by chance! No EFTOS or credit facilities<br />
are available.<br />

PanoraMa Motor lodge<br />
Ideally located for guests to enjoy Timaru’s attractions,<br />
