Following on from a sucessful event in Gauteng, Carina Best<br />
(Head of Alternative Collections at African Bank) and her team<br />
hosted their second well supported workshop with Cape Town<br />
Debt Counsellors this month<br />
Representatives from small and large debt review companies<br />
were in attendance, there were a few new faces, as well as the<br />
more familiar ones. The mixed audience added to the relaxed<br />
mood and good interation between the African Bank Team and<br />
attendees.<br />
Carina Best introduced the day and her team to the audience<br />
who have often dealt with the various team members over the<br />
phone or via email while assisting consumers with debt review<br />
matters. Many of the African Bank team were on hand at the<br />
venue in Newlands Cape Town to interact with Debt Counsellors<br />
and attorneys and to help answer their many questions. It was<br />
enjoyable for those attending to learn a bit more about the<br />
people they correspond with so regularly from details about their<br />
education, work history and family status to what they like to do<br />
in their private time.<br />
There were videos to watch both from the African Bank CEO<br />
as well as about the “my world” account, which will soon be<br />
available to those under debt review as African Bank move into<br />
the transactional account side of banking in the near future (as<br />
opposed to more loans oriented banking).<br />
