BENCHMARK EVENT Exhibition space selling out! SiX 2 19 November 5/6 In Association with: This year sees the inaugural installer event SiX at EventCity in Manchester in November. Here we continue our preview of what is in store for those attending and reveal yet more organisations joining up to support the show As we have discussed previously,SiX is aimed squarely at the security installer and system integrator. Running on 5-6th November 2019, the event will offer a noncommercial conference programme alongside an exhibition at EventCity Manchester. In addition, the annual PSI Premier Awards Dinner will be held on the evening of 5th November. There are a number of reasons why PSI publisher Pro-Activ took the decision to host the show including the location, the timing and the installer audience which has told us for some time that they want their own event. Exhibitor approval for SiX At the time of this publication going to press over 70% of the exhibition stand space had been sold. This is a phenominal achievement for a show in its first year, especially given the fact that there are all-encompassing industry events out there to exhibit at - which, according to PSI editor Andy Clutton indicates the appeal of a focussed event such as SiX: “We have been asked many times over the years to hold an installer-only event because we were told installers wanted a show that they could call their own. However, until we actually started to promote SiX we didn’t know if the appeal of such an event would be universal across the security sector. We have been amazed at the reaction so far and the backing we have from the likes of SSAIB, NSI, BSIA, FSA and FIA backs up the desire for the event. “With SiX I think there is an attraction for exhibitors because there in no wastage. By that I mean there are no end user shows being cohosted alongside that have no appeal for the security installer. While hosting another show would boost the visitor stats they don’t really relate to potential business for those exhibiting. People are reallty getting onboard with SiX.” “As SiX is dedicated to installers we see it as the ideal platform to engage with them. Furthermore, Manchester is a great meeting point for the Midlands and the North while being well connected by public transport to the South of the country.
