Murder suspects issuing
threats at Oshiyie

SOME TEN people
believed to be the
main suspects in the
killing of two people,
Rudy Anteye, on
March 3, 2017 and Nii Armah
Kwaku, on August 17, 2017, at
Oshiyie in the Greater Accra
Region are said to be back in
town issuing more death threats.
Speaking to the DAILY
HERITAGE, the Oshiyie
Stool Secretary, Newland Nii
Ansah, said some suspects were
arrested for the murder that occured
in March and later
granted bail.
Two of these suspects
Yeboah Annoh and Eni Copson
he said were remanded into
prisons custody at Nsawam.
He said others mentioned in
the killing ran away but returned
in August to commit the second
murder.
Nii Ansah said “after the
gruesome murder of our two
relations, the family started a
court process because we believe
in rule of law but the culprits
left town after the
incidents for fear of being arrested.”

also known as Yiiwatse, and
seven others but they had disappeared
immediately after the
murder.
Nii Ansah said after the suspects
went into hiding, Oshiyie
began to enjoy the peace which
was long missing, but tension
started brewing again immediately
these suspects came back
under police protection, issuing
all manner of threats to people
who identified them as culprits
in the two murder cases.
“As we speak, all the 10 suspects
are living in Oshiyie in
one house issuing threats to
people who try to associate
them with the murders, saying,
for instance, that if they don’t
know and they act funny, what
happened in 2017 would be too
small,” Nii Ansah stated.
The Stool secretary said “the
suspects are beating their chest
in town claiming to have neutralised
the bench warrant and
therefore no one can arrest
them.”
“After seeing them back in
town, we reported the matter to
the prosecutor, who asked us to
look for any police officer to arrest
them but no policeman is
ready to do so.”
Nii Ansah is therefore appealing
to the Inspector General
of Police to immediately call the
Greater Accra Regional Command
to order for the law to
take its course and the suspects
