Trail rides, ‘Let’s Go Horseback Riding’<br />

of all ages.<br />
Whether it is those who<br />
have extensive riding experience<br />
or those who<br />
want to enjoy a horse ride<br />
for the first time, Forest<br />
View Farms has something<br />
for all guests.<br />
Forest View Farms in<br />
Tinley Park abuts the Cook<br />
County Forest Preserve<br />
— a beautiful piece of<br />
land that begs to be seen.<br />
Guests can enjoy time<br />
away from life’s stress<br />
and spend time relaxing<br />
through the beautiful forest<br />
trails. Riders are paired<br />
with a horse at the rider’s<br />
skill level, so new riders<br />
do not feel overwhelmed.<br />
Trail rides begin on the<br />
Forest View Farms property<br />
and take adjacent<br />
trails through the Cook<br />
County Forest Preserve.<br />
Trail rides are offered<br />
year-round and are offered<br />
for both private, reserved<br />
rides and walk-in customers.<br />
Trail riders need to be<br />
at least 9 years old, with a<br />
250-pound weight limit.<br />
Children younger than 9<br />
who want to ride can also<br />
enjoy pony rides, which are<br />
offered year-round and are<br />
great for smaller children.<br />
Horseback Riding lessons<br />
are offered for people<br />
ages 3 and older. Group<br />
and private lessons also<br />
are available for adults.<br />
Driving lessons also are<br />
available.<br />
Parties can be arranged<br />
to accommodate everything<br />
from trail rides, pony<br />
rentals, hayrides, ride wagons,<br />
covered wagons, carriages<br />
and stagecoach to<br />
petting farm animals. Parties<br />
can be held at the customer’s<br />
place or the Forest<br />
View facility. Forest View<br />
Farms has party barns and<br />
party pavilions available.<br />
Forest View also does<br />
parades, weddings, reunions,<br />
convention events,<br />
company picnics, cookouts,<br />
special events and<br />
parties for all occasions.<br />
Guests also are invited<br />
for a week of fun at horse<br />
camp, which is a way to<br />
learn about horses and<br />
other farm animals. During<br />
the week at camp, new<br />
campers will learn to brush,<br />
saddle and ride horses, or,<br />
for the more experienced,<br />
lots of riding. Forest View<br />
also holds a fall festival and<br />
haunted events.<br />
