Issue 295
June 2019
Hello
Welcome to this issue of The Garage.
LAMBDA SENSORS
TODAY’S independent garages need
to work hard to stay profitable,
and it’s always a case of identifying
trends in car technology that they
can work with. In the past there has
been something of a head-in-sand mentality
where workshops have shyed away from new
technology and as a result have given work
to main dealers.
Today’s independent garage trade is more
positive, and while not all workshops will
work with all new technologies, almost all
businesses will tackle some work.
In this issue we’ve taken a look at hybrids,
and the opportunities they offer. Of course
that new technology needs handling carefully,
and there are a multitude of courses on
offer. We take a look at what’s on offer.
Identifying new trends is all about keeping
a business healthy and profitable. All too
often a technician leaves a safe job to go it
alone, and while they might be good on the
tools, they’re not so good at book-keeping,
which can spell the end of a business.
This issue takes a look at business and finance,
and ways you can finance new equipment
or building work to make your company
more profitable not only in the near but
in the distance future too. There are many
financial options and we’ get the lowdown
on what’s about.
Enjoy the issue!
