Laurie Thirion ’93 married Tom Billups on June 10,
2017, at Old St. Hilary’s Chapel in Tiburon. Dragons

Starr Saunders ’98 married Christopher Gray on
July 27, 2017, with the ceremony held in the O’Dowd
theater followed by a reception in the large gym with
the theme “Enchantment Under The Sea Dance”
(from the movie Back to the Future). A host of alumni
were in attendance including Jamie and Julie (Florence)
White ’98, Colleen Callaghan Spinato ’98,
Kim (Soller) Tanimoto ’98, Daniel Thuillier ’98,
Nick Maccarone ’98, Sarah (Boze) Pettey ’98, Kim
(Suisa) Powell ’98, Anthony Glafkides ’98, Shannon
Allison ’98, and Tiffany (Saunders) Hartsinck ’94.
“I am grateful we were able to have our wedding at
O’Dowd, because it is a place that has played such a
huge part of my life,” Starr said. “It made sense to get
married in the theater, since I was so heavily involved
in the Theater Department when I was a student.”
Added Starr, “what a way to celebrate another very
important day in my life.”
Jenny Knutson ’06 and Sam Fitzgerald were married
on May 13, 2017, at Mission Santa Clara, located on
the campus of Santa Clara University, where Jenny
and Sam met as freshmen. A host of Dragons attended
the wedding and reception, which was held at Nella
Terra Cellars in Sunol. The wedding party included
Maid of Honor Katie Knutson ’10, Katie Hawkins ’07
and Erika Halstenrud ’06. The couple is currently
living in Manhattan.
