COLOUR BLOCKING<br />
Colour blocking is the trend that keeps on giving. This means placing<br />
together homeware pieces that contrast with each other in colour, achieving<br />
a decor that's striking in appearance. This is often done by incorporating<br />
colours that are on opposite ends of the colour wheel, creating a statement<br />
look. A common way to colour block is by featuring furniture that contrasts<br />
with the wall paint. But colour blocking can also be done effectively on a<br />
smaller scale - for example, by placing opposing shades of crockery next to<br />
each other.<br />
A subtler form of colour blocking involves using different shades of the<br />
same colour simultaneously, accentuating each shade in one unifying colour<br />
scheme. This is a great option for those who prefer a more demure interior.<br />
