Ò Josephine Gellidon Tada
Josephine was raised in Manila. Her mother Elsa, sisters Maria Lydia and Teresita
Irene, and brothers Paulino Martin and Emilio lives in Virginia Beach, USA. Josephine
and her sisters and brothers attended Paco Catholic School. She obtained her degree in
Bachelor of Science in Commerce in St. Paul College Manila. She also finished courses
in Tour Guiding, Japanese Cooking, Curtain Making, and Upholstery among others.
Josephine believes in volunteering. She was a volunteer in the 2000 Olympics since
April until its Closing Ceremonies. She was also a volunteer gardener at Blacktown
Showground. For the last 25 years to present, Jo is employed at St. George Bank.
Josephine is happily married to Masahiro Tada from Miyazaki, Japan and they are blessed
with two children: Ken, who finished Medical Science in the University of Technology
Sydney, and Eri who is studying International Studies and Business Management also at
the University of Technology Sydney. They speak Japanese in their home.
Josephine loves travelling, cooking, dancing, studying, and multi-level marketing. She
has been the Secretary of NARRA Co-op Ltd since 2015, and her family is a Gold Legacy
member of NARRA Co-op Ltd.
A brain tumor survivor, Josephine treats everyday as her last day.
Ò Dr Jaime Rodriguez Lopez
Dr Jaime Lopez is a CPA and member of CPA Australia and studied at Charles Sturt
University. He finished Doctor of Philosophy in Education, Master in Business
Administration, Master of Arts in Teaching. and Bachelor of Science in Commerce.
Before migration to Australia, he had been very active in the community being President
of several organizations including Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountant-
Baguio Chapter. Being University Professor, the Dean of College of Commerce, and
Asst General Manager of Hotel Nevada, he gave Lectures on Accounting and Auditing,
Food and Sanitation that is very helpful to the community and was awarded Outstanding
Accountant, Outstanding Alumni of Saint Louis University, Baguio Colleges Foundation,
and Saint Louis College
In Australia, founded several community organizations. One notable achievement of the
group under his leadership is the help to newly arrived migrants in their struggle to have
a place in Sydney, helped Seniors and the needy both Philippines and Australia and the
promotion of Filipino Arts and Culture.
Dr Jaime R Lopez, a multi awarded volunteer. The Premier’s Volunteer Recognition
Program for volunteering effort in the community was presented by MP Greg Warren, in recognition and appreciation of
his contribution to the community and the future of NSW. As an outstanding local volunteer for many years, Jimmy has
generously given his time to make a difference in people’s lives. Awarded Outstanding Community Leader by Filipino
Communities Council of Australia, Volunteer Award from Community Relations Commission, NSW, and Campbelltown
Community Citizen Award.
Innovation Award by Common Equity on behalf of the NSW Co-operative Housing Sector, Zest nominee for Outstanding
Volunteer Community Leader , and Outstanding Community Leadership and excellence in promoting arts and culture by
Plaza Filipino, Inc. Plaque of Appreciation by Global Ilocanos Australia Inc, Leadership Service for the Community Builders
Award by Adhika Inc and Plaque of Appreciation as Gold Legacy Supporter of NARRA Co-op Ltd
Why volunteer ? “I am a migrant myself and had seen how hard to live in a new country and whatever hardships and
difficulties that I encountered should not also be felt by new migrants”.
An innovator by heart, Dr. Jaime Lopez has introduced and implemented partnerships with various Filipino Australian non
profit organizations.
Sedgwick Housing Co-operative Ltd. (SHCL) under the leadership of Jimmy was nominated as Exceptional Community
Partnership Project in a Local Government Area category of the 2017 Zest Awards. SHCL has partnered with several local
community non-profit organisations to pursue projects for the community particularly the National Affiliation of Respectable
and Responsible Association (NARRA). This partnership has resulted in the acquisition of two investment property, one
in 2016 and another in 2017: the Arts, Culture and Innovation Central (ACI Central) which serves as venue for lectures of
interest, meetings of organisations and exhibits of Filipino artwork and handicraft. The Centre has four computers for use of
members of the SHCL and its partners. NARRA Co-op Ltd was named Outstanding Voluntary Group/Organization in 2017
Zest Awards.
Jefferson Lopez is the only son of Jaime Lopez from Balaoan, La Union and Myrma Bringas, a Registered Nurse from
Bangued, Abra.
