2019 Lining Project in South Charleston, Ohio.
The work generally consists of the following:
• Lining of 2,900 feet of 10 inch VCP (including cleaning and videotaping);
• Lining of 500 feet of 8 inch VCP (including cleaning and videotaping);
• Reinstatement of 80 lateral connections, including sealing;
• Repair/abandonment of one (1) 12” penetration in one (1) manhole;
• Allowance provision in Bid Schedule for point repairs.
All workmanship and materials are to be in accordance with the Contract Documents, which may be

Sealed BIDS will be received for the construction of the Village of South Charleston Sanitary Sewer
Repair/Replacement: 2019 Lining Project at the South Charleston Village Hall, 35 Chillicothe Street,
South Charleston, Ohio 45368 until 12:00 PM noon (local time) on the 18th day of September 2019 at
which time all BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance
with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued
by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons
interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and
complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than March 1, 2020.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio
Products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor
compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter
123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Clark County, Ohio and
the Village of South Charleston, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau
of Wage and Hour Administration.
“DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED
CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN
BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE
SERVICES.” (SEC. 153.011 (E).)
The Village of South Charleston reserves the right to reject any and all bids, delete any portion or
portions thereof or to waive any irregularities in the bidding.

available at a non-refundable cost of $75.00.

Project construction for this Contract shall be completed within 150 days after the date to be specified
in the Notice to Proceed.
