Meetings of the Board of Trustees<br />
The SCNF Board of Trustees meets on the second Friday of the second month of each quarter<br />
beginning in February. The <strong>2019</strong> meeting dates were February 9, May 3 (Changed to 1st Friday due<br />
to USC graduation), August 9 and the last will be on November 8.<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> Care License Plate Initiative:<br />
Through legislation, SCNF was able to obtain a special license plate referred to as the <strong>South</strong><br />
<strong>Carolina</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> Foundation NURSES CARE License Plate. These vehicle license plates are available<br />
through the <strong>South</strong> <strong>Carolina</strong> Department of Motor Vehicles. Proceeds from the sale of the license<br />
plates as stated in the legislation must support nursing scholarships. The number of scholarships<br />
and amount of each scholarship has increased over time based on revenue generated. License<br />
plates can be obtained by going to: http://scdmvonline.com<br />
Scholarships and Awards Committee<br />
The License Plate Initiative (<strong>Nurses</strong> Care Scholarship) application process is now conducted online.<br />
That fund is growing and has resulted in an increased amount for each scholarship. In <strong>2019</strong>,<br />
$25,000 was awarded as 8 undergraduate awards of $2,000 each and 3 graduate awards of $3,000.<br />
