he 27th Annual Scuppernong River Festival will<br />

be held on Saturday <strong>October</strong> 12, <strong>2019</strong> in downtown<br />

Columbia. The Scuppernong River Festival is an<br />

old time small town street festival that stretches along<br />

Columbia’s main street from the waterfront to the courthouse.<br />

The festival will kick off with the Scuppernong<br />

River Festival Parade starting at 9 am. The parade will<br />

feature marching bands, motorcycles, vintage cars,<br />

and many other entries.. During the day there will be<br />

many live musical performances, children’s games &<br />

rides, vendors (selling food, arts, & crafts), displays<br />

by many organizations, antique car’s,and helicopter<br />

rides above Columbia and the Scuppernong River. This<br />

year there will be special entertainment by a group of<br />

cloggers and a motorcycle stunt show. At the end of the<br />

day, everyone will be treated to an awesome fireworks<br />

display over the Scuppernong River on the Columbia<br />

waterfront. The day will end with a street dance where<br />

everyone can dance the night away with The Jupiter<br />

Jones Band. It’s going to be an exciting day and night<br />

of fun, food, and music so make your plans now to be<br />

in Columbia for the 27th Annual Scuppernong River<br />
