Youth Stage 5: Stroke Development Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday Y member rate: $72 Y non-member rate: $107 Prerequisite: Completion of Stage 4. For school age children who can swim 25 yards unassisted and show endurance in the water with any stroke or combination of strokes. Students in stage 5 work on stroke technique and learn all major competitive strokes. The emphasis on water safety continues through treading water and sidestroke. Lifeguard Certification / Swim Ellis & Associates Lifeguarding Course Friday, Saturday, Sunday Y member rate: $180 Y non-member rate: $232 Prerequisites: swim 200 yards (8 lengths); tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands; perform feet first surface dive to lift a 10 pound brick off the bottom of the pool. Upon 100% attendance and successful completion of water skills and written exam, participants receive a 1-year certification in Ellis and Associates Lifeguarding. Must possess a valid email address. Ages: 15 and up 101343 Indoor Pool – Competition 5pm to 9pm Fri, January 10, 2020 9am to 5pm Sat, January 11, 2020 - Sun, January 12, 2020 101344 Indoor Pool – Competition 5pm to 9pm Fri, February 7, 2020 9am to 5pm Sat, February 8, 2020 - Sun, February 9, 2020 Ellis & Associates Re-Certification Course Sunday Y member rate: $103 Y non-member rate: $155 Prerequisites: Swim 200 yards (8 lengths); tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands; perform a feet first surface dive to lift a brick off the bottom of the pool, plus proof of valid Ellis and Associates certification. Upon successful completion of water skills and written exam, participants receive a 1-year recertification in Ellis and Associates Lifeguarding. Re-certification includes First Aid, Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Oxygen Administration and AED. No refunds regardless of passing or failing the course.
