Clean lines and colours with a warm homely feeling best
describe Jennian Homes’ new showhome in The Borough.
One of Faringdon’s most recent stages, The Borough
is emerging as Rolleston’s latest showhome village, and
Jennian Homes are one of the first building companies to
open the doors to their new showhome.
First impressions count with a combination of white
gloss brick and Linea cladding drawing the eye to this
home. The brick cladding is carried into the home along
one side of the defined entryway in a black gloss brick,
showcasing how permanent materials might enliven this
area of the home.
The showhome was based on Jennian Homes’
Summerhill plan, with a few changes to illustrate what
might be added into a home. The effect is a 205sqm
extremely liveable and attractive home, where there is
plenty of opportunity to maximise indoor/
outdoor living.
Stylishly decorated with generous windows to
ensure a light, bright four bedroom home there
are two living areas, separated by double doors
for a more formal lounge.
Overlooking the dining area, the kitchen
has unique features. These include an island
bench augmented with an angled end board,
woodgrain cabinetry with light grey acrylic
TriStone bench top giving a sparkling sheen
look, double sink and tower Fawcett. Space
is provided for a large refrigerator on the
opposing wall where dark grey cabinetry
handsomely offsets the timber-look splash back
and hanging cupboards above the cooktop.
This blend of monochromatic, grey and earthy
colours is simply striking.
A walk-in pantry sits off to one side while the kitchen
feels part of the family room where there is space for
dining and living.
The home has two bathrooms with brushed Nickel
tapware creating a point of difference. The separate toilet
and main bathroom share an incredibly effective colour
scheme where white walls and fittings contrast with the
timber look flooring. The bathroom has a metre square
shower, heated towel rail and freestanding corner bath
fitted so cleaning is easier.
In the Master bedroom, there is a walk-in robe and
ensuite. The latter features a fully tiled and glass-door
walk-in shower, along with tiles behind the floating vanity
and on the floor.
Access to the garage is via a separate laundry where
built-in cabinetry offers ample under-bench space for
washing machine and dryer, and there is a separate storage
cupboard. Attic trusses in the garage offer even more
storage space.
The Summerhill offers the capacity to change aspects of
the design like extending a wall, repositioning the garage
entry or selecting one of three roof style options.
The showhome itself, has been set up as a mini version
of Jennian Homes’ Studio J Design Centre which presents
a wide range of options for fittings and features in a new
home.

at 2 Thornborough Drive in The Borough, just off
Springston Rolleston Road in Rolleston. The showhome
is open Wednesdays through to Sundays from 12noon
until 4pm.
