HONG KONG CITY HALL CONCERT HALL

The Fifth Hong Kong International Piano Competition will be

held at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall between the

7 th - 24 th October, 2019, under the organizing auspices of The

Chopin Society of Hong Kong Ltd.

A College of Jurors will include, as in past competitions,

some of the best pianists and teachers in the world.

The first prize will include USD 25,000, a gold medal and

a membership to the newly founded Club of the first prize

winners of the Hong Kong International Piano Competition,

offering its members a career in recording under the Alpha

Omega Sound label and the benefits of a new concept in

networking to generate worldwide engagements as well as

at least once a year engagements to perform in HK during

the Society’s yearly Joy of Music Festival.

Luka Okrostsvaridze – 1st prize winner of the HKIPC 2016

Ilya Rashkovskiy – 1st prize winner of the HKIPC 2005

Jinsang Lee – 1st prize winner of the HKIPC 2008

Giuseppe Andaloro – 1st prize winner of the HKIPC 2011

The second prize will be USD 15,000 and a silver medal.

The third prize will be USD 10,000 and a bronze medal.
