Youth competitions - Performance times
In the table below, those competitions have been singled out that specifically focus on the
youth: contestants not older than 22. (Mostly, even much lower age limits apply.) When a
competition has several age categories, the information in the table below refers to the
highest category only. The same notations are used as in the table on the previous pages.

*: the Thomas & Evon Cooper Competition in Oberlin (USA) consists of not less than five
stages. Contestants must prepare 40 minutes of solo repertoire, from which the jury
selects the works to be played (30, 15 and 30 minutes in the successive rounds).
The New York International Piano Competition includes an Ensemble Round, in which the
contestants are paired and are required to perform a work for piano duo.
