The home also has plenty of areas that
look great decorated with a wreath. “I
decorate them and Michael finds a place
for them. It’s a lot of fun for both of us. We
have actually asked guests to guess how
many nutcrackers, wreaths, or trees during
parties. So far, we have 21 nutcrackers,
15 wreaths, over 50 poinsettias, and 42
Christmas trees,” Deanne added.
In the main areas of the home, the focal
point is always a tree. “It’s the largest
item and makes the greatest statement.
After that, we look to connect the rest
of the room to that main feature,” said
Deanne. “I love to shop for all kinds of
things. I always have my eyes open for
unique things — usually nutcrackers. I
have made or remade all of the wreaths
and garland. We find things at Walmart,
Sam’s, Hobby Lobby ... but my favorite
thing to do is buy next year’s stuff when
it gets marked down after Christmas ... I
am addicted to 90 percent OFF!”
