How long have you been in business in Faulkner
County? I just started back behind the chair in April
after being in salon sales for 5 years.
What do you love most about your business
and why? Being able to be creative and help others
feel comfortable with who they are an also embrace
change to give them confidence
How has your business changed/evolved over
time? Our techniques have definitely changed and
how we would apply color or lightener to achieve
certain looks the client is wanting
What are some of the latest trends in your
industry? Balayage and hand tied extensions have
definitely become a highly requested service this year
What sets you apart from other businesses
in your industry? I had the chance to work with
many brands the last 5 years and that has given
me the chance to see their facilities and learn their
background. I also had the chance of having first
hand education given from the companies and
brands which I was able to learn the new trends and
upcoming techniques
How are you involved in your community/
county? If I’m not able to be out with the community,
I like to donate hair services or products to any
event or charity when needed
What do you love most about being a business
owner inFaulkner County? I love being a hairstylist
in Conway because it’s a growing city with where so
many are eager to stay with the new and on going
trends. The people here love supporting local shops
and stores and it’s such a great place to be a part of.
Who is/was your inspiration for owning a business
and why? My inspiration for becoming a
hairstylist started in high school when I started doing
pageants. Learning how to present myself gave me
the confidence I needed and I wanted to share that
with other girls and women
What plans do you have for the future? My plans
for the future are to strive to be the best stylist I can
for anyone who sits in my chair and continue to
further my education within hair and fashion and
bring that back to my clients
