Test Speed – velocity in in/sec of the test.<br />

Pause Time – dwell time at peak force.<br />

Measurement Interval – displacement interval between data points.<br />

<strong>Spring</strong> Height Force – The force the machine will use to define spring free height.<br />

Start/End Point – These define the range the program will use to calculate spring<br />

rate. These numbers may be changed after the test.<br />

To continue the test, click the Start Test button.<br />

From the spring test window (Figure 7) use the Measure Gap button when the<br />

program does not have a gap measurement recorded (red light displayed). You will<br />

need to measure the gap each time you start the program. You will be prompted<br />

to enter a block height number if you are using a block between the platens when<br />

measuring the stroke.<br />
