in the test range. The end point rate is an average of the rate at the start and end
point. Your start and end point numbers may be changed to view data from
different areas of the spring. This will not affect the saved data and this point data
may be viewed after the data is saved by using the point report. The start and end
points are the distances between the platforms unless you check Relative to Start
Point. If you enter a number not in the spring range (i.e. 3” displacement on a 2”
spring) the program will not complete the results section. From this window you
can click Finish to save the data file or save and repeat if you wish to run the same
test again or Batch test if this is the first of a batch of springs to be tested.
Batch Test
A batch test is designed to give users the ability to run a number of different
springs and save the data as one data file. After running the first spring replace the
spring in the machine and use the Batch Test Repeat button to re-run the same
test. After all the springs have been run, use the Finish button to save and name
the data file. The individual runs will be saved together in one data file and
identified by their respective run number in the batch.
