NEIGHBOUR
Maintaining neighbourly relationships can be
helped with kind and unexpected touches. Baking
a cake is an ideal way to bestow the festive spirit on
your neighbours.
6 2. GIFT A STRANGER
Happiness is often found in selfless acts. Prepare a
parcel for a stranger and leave it on their doorstep
on Christmas Eve. Alternatively, there are websites
where you can swap gifts with complete strangers
across the world.
5 3. DONATE TO A FOODBANK
Amid all the excess of Christmas, there are those who
struggle to even obtain the basics. There are plenty of
Foodbanks in and around Cardiff and some of these dropoff
points can be found towards the exits of supermarkets.
Foodbanks often need tinned fruit, long-life fruit juice, UHT
milk, rice pudding and tinned vegetables.
6 4. SPEND TIME WITH
LONELY NEIGHBOURS
Loneliness can be difficult to cope with at any time
of the year, but for some, the added expectation of
festive cheer and togetherness can be too much.
Clear your diary and spend some time with lonely
neighbours - you may be the only person they see
over the festive season.
