Talley's <strong>Ashburton</strong>isseeking an Agronomist to plan, manageand executecrop<br />
production activities in the mid-Canterbury region. Talley's <strong>Ashburton</strong> processes<br />
potatoes, peas and sweetcorn from its Fairton sitejust outside <strong>Ashburton</strong>.<br />
Reporting to the FieldManager and supportedbythe wider fieldteam, youwill<br />
provide technical and agronomic support to our diverse grower base. This advice<br />
includes the application of fertiliser, agrochemicals and general husbandry of the<br />
contracted crops. This role is responsiblefor providing timelyinformation on crop<br />
estimates and harvest co-ordination to ensureonlythe best quality fresh produce is<br />
delivered to the business for processing.<br />

• 3+years’agronomyexperience preferred<br />
• Anappropriatedegree, diploma or technical qualification preferred<br />
• Excellent recordkeeping and organisational abilities<br />
• Customer service andrelationshipmanagementskills as well as excellent interpersonal<br />
skills allowingyou to communicateeffectivelywith all growersand staff<br />
• Agood understandingofhealth and safety responsibilities andthe ability to assist in<br />

Boiler Operator<br />
Talley's is asuccessful and well-known brand, operating several plants<br />
throughout the South Island, as well as having diverse interests in seafood,<br />
frozen vegetables, meat and dairy products. Arare opportunity has arisen for<br />
aBoiler Operator at our Fairton plant, located 10minutes north of<strong>Ashburton</strong>.<br />
The key purpose of this role is to operate a14mW Steam Boiler, along with daily<br />
tasks tokeep other utility equipment inacondition that will allow full running,<br />
with minimal down time tobest support our plant operations.<br />
Youwill:<br />
• Preferably hold aLevel 2National Certificate -Boiler Operations, but wemay<br />
consider asuitable candidate with past boiler operation experience, who is<br />
prepared to work towards and attain this qualification<br />
• Bemechanically minded, have great problem-solving aptitude and can think<br />
outside the square<br />
• Have excellent communication skills, to ensure relationships with other<br />
departments and external parties are fostered and cohesive<br />
• Show good leadership inasmall team and be prepared to be flexible regarding<br />
rosters toensure best service to operations.<br />
• Havethe ability to followprocessesand ensureaccuracy is maintained on all<br />
documentation and records, both written and electronic.<br />
