Snapshot of the term

Well done to G. Hayden (Year

13) for being selected for Surrey

Colts who beat Hampshire 15-

5. He has really developed as a

player since joining the school in

Year 12.

Our Year 12 economists undertake a ninety

minute election debate in which they

are all representing a different political

party. They had to put accross their main

election policies, debating their merits

and articulating their own concerns about

other parties. This was exceptional and the

students demonstrated a very high level of

understanding and debating skills.

Students continue to excel in Art with Year 7 designing this year’s

school Christmas card, Year 8 getting ready for a compeitition

sponsored by one of our new partners, City Tiles and Bathrooms,

and Years 11 and 13 undertaking their PPE’s.

Two former students, Laurence

Hamer and Jon Cernuschi, have

set up their own business on the

Purley Way. Please do support

them and mention John Fisher

for preferntial rates!

Our wonderful parent

association (JFA) raised

just under £2,000 from

Christmas tree sales on

Saturday 7th December.

Thank you to all those

involved in organising this

event, and to those who

bought their tree from

them.

Well done to Mr.

Gamage who won

an award from Bath

University. This was

awarded for ‘Excellence

in Maths Teaching’ after

former student, Luke

Roberts, nominated him

as having the biggest

impact on his studies.

An outstanding

achievement.
