In the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas,

the PACE Trust (Programme for Applied

Christian Education) joined with churches

from around Bournemouth, Poole and

Christchurch to share the good news of

Jesus with thousands of local secondary

school kids using the GSUS Live bus.

The bus is a mobile interactive classroom

on a large lorry. It seats 30 students and

guides them through a lesson helping them

understand who Jesus is and why he came.

For it's final week in Bournemouth the bus

was parked at The Bishop of Winchester

Academy just about - it struggled to get into

the car park!). As I help to lead the PACE

team working in TBOWA, I had the pleasure

of helping out on the bus during the week.

In just one week over 400 teenagers were

able to engage with who Jesus is. Working

regularly in TBOWA I get to see firsthand

how open these young people are to

discussing issues of faith, but this week was

something different. The lesson combined

with expert deliverer, Dave Pegg (PACE

Schools Work Leader), had a great knack

of helping the young people open up with

some big questions and great discussions

on everything Christian.

The week ended with a gig by Christian

artist Chip Kendall which thousands of

young people were invited to over the 6

weeks, more than a hundred attended and a

number reported making a commitment to

Christ that evening and are being followed

up by local churches.
