In the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas,the PACE Trust (Programme for AppliedChristian Education) joined with churchesfrom around Bournemouth, Poole andChristchurch to share the good news ofJesus with thousands of local secondaryschool kids using the GSUS Live bus.The bus is a mobile interactive classroomon a large lorry. It seats 30 students andguides them through a lesson helping themunderstand who Jesus is and why he came.For it's final week in Bournemouth the buswas parked at The Bishop of WinchesterAcademy just about - it struggled to get intothe car park!). As I help to lead the PACEteam working in TBOWA, I had the pleasureof helping out on the bus during the week.In just one week over 400 teenagers wereable to engage with who Jesus is. Workingregularly in TBOWA I get to see firsthandhow open these young people are todiscussing issues of faith, but this week wassomething different. The lesson combinedwith expert deliverer, Dave Pegg (PACESchools Work Leader), had a great knackof helping the young people open up withsome big questions and great discussionson everything Christian.The week ended with a gig by Christianartist Chip Kendall which thousands ofyoung people were invited to over the 6weeks, more than a hundred attended and anumber reported making a commitment toChrist that evening and are being followedup by local churches.You can find out more about the work ofPACE and watch some reports from GSUSLive on their facebook pagewww.facebook.com/ThePaceTrustTom Davenport | Community Workerinside the bus
