Jr. Scientists: All About
Animals Workshop
Theme – STEAM
Location – Falcon Heights
Time – 9am-12pm

Jr. Scientists: All About Animals invites
your little zoologists to analyze birds,
construct their way through the butterfly
life cycle, build reptiles, and examine
insects with K’NEX® Jr. kits.

Kinderbots Robotics
Theme – Robotics
Location – Justice Page
Time – 1pm-4pm
Dates – 6/15 – 6/18
Age Range – 5-7
Students will begin to explore the world of
robotics and coding as they build simple
models that teach the fundamentals of
robotic design. Whether learning about
sensors while building drills and magic
wands or discovering ways that gears and
pulleys create movement while building
helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is
sure to have a great time.
WEEK 3
Crafting Design Lab
Theme – STEAM
Location – Snapology Discovery Center
Time – 9am-12pm
Dates – 6/22 – 6/26
Age Range – 7-12
What do you get when you throw spin
art, bracelets, fidget spinners, slime and
other crafting activities into a camp
and mix it all in with a big helping of art
history? Snapology’s awesome new Craft
Design maker camp! Throughout the
week, students will learn about some of
art’s greatest minds, as well as create fun
STEM-focused take-home projects and
activities. Cost – $165

Attack Bots Robotics
Theme – Robotics
Location – Minnehaha Lower
Time – 12:30-4pm
Dates – 6/15 – 6/19
Age Range – 8-13
In this exciting camp, students will build a
variety of military inspired robotic models.
Children will learn about sensors, gears,
pulleys, and programming as they create
robotic catapults, crossbows, battleships
and much more!

SumoBots Robotics
Theme – Robotics
Location – Justice Page
Time – 1pm-4pm
Dates – 6/15 – 6/18
Age Range – 9-13
The ancient art of SUMO wrestling may
be fun to watch, but certainly not so
easy to compete in. Not anymore! In this
program, your child will design their own
SUMO wrestling robot that will compete
against their classmates bots for the title of
toughest SUMO Bot. This design process
will make them better engineers, better
programmers, and better collaborators.
Don’t worry, they will be guided by a trained
Snapologist to help them accomplish their
goals as they design and battle! No prior
robotics experience necessary.
Harry Potter’s Magical Wizarding
STEM Camp
Theme – STEAM
Location – Snapology Discovery Center
Time – 1pm-4pm

Age Range – 7/12
Enter the world of wizards and witches
in Snapology’s Harry Potter Wizarding
camp! Students will attend Hogwarts
classes where they will learn how real life
connects to the magic world, and allow their
creativity to explode. This camp will spark
their imaginations and encourage creative
reasoning in new ways, allowing them to
build amazing things they have only dreamed
of before! They’ll enjoy themselves so much,
you might think we have them under a spell!

Robot Rescue Mission using
LEGO® Mindstorm
Theme – Robotics
Location – Blake
Hopkins Campus
Time – 8:30am-11:30am
Dates – 6/22 – 6/25
Age Range – 10-14
Do you think you could save the town of
Dalto, California from a natural disaster? If
building, programming and adapting robots
is something that your kiddo is interested
in, then this is the camp for them! Come
learn strategies for building, adapting and
modifying an autonomous LEGO® EV3
robot and then apply that to saving a town
in desperate need of saving. Be prepared
to have tons of fun! No prior robotics
experience is necessary.

build models of their favorite forms of
transportation and they learn about energy,
wheels and axles, air resistance, and more.
Creative building, robotics and engineering
come together for an awesome camp!
Science of Superpowers Workshop
Theme – STEAM

Age Range – 5-9
In Snapology’s Science of Superpowers
workshop, students explore the world
of their favorite superheroes through
STEAM activities and experiments.
Students will learn about forces, energy,
gravity and problem solving as they build
robots, models and fortresses inspired by
Superman, Batman, and all their favorite
heroes. Experimentation and fun are crucial
components of this ‘super’ workshop!

Stop Motion
Animation
Theme – Technology
Location – New Life
Academy
Time – 1-4pm
Dates – 6/22 – 6/25
Age Range – 8-12
Create fantastic movies
with stop motion
animation using LEGO® bricks. Children
will work in teams under guided instruction
to make a digital movie using stop motion
techniques. Teams will go through the
entire movie making process, from plot and
character planning to editing. The best part
is the kids will get to take home their movies
so they can show friends and family!
