Yes, power plants—entire industrial
facilities built for the sole purpose of
generating different forms of power
and energy. These “temporary power
plants” are an instantaneous, dependable,
scalable, and most importantly, cost-efficient
solution to a country’s power concerns,
says large-scale power solutions
provider. This is most especially true for the
drought-affected southernmost region of the
African continent.
Various energy experts describe that the
hydropower sector in the African and Asian
regions are reeling from the effects of the
drought caused by the intense heat
weather phenomenon, causing the region to
face hard times. Numerous countries in
ASEAN, Africa and Austral-Asia are
dependent on the generation of hydropower
for a large amount of their electricity supply
but because of the drought, several allied
power infrastructures are currently unable
to deliver the necessary supplemental
electricity.
Industry reports reveal that the government
of various Asian and African considers it as
the worst since the 80s, while the Australian
government’s heat wave that caused thousands
of miles of fire is economically crippling
drought for six months, which affected
close to a million acres, even the Australian
government has lamented that this drought
has been the worst in decades.
Fortunately, a helping hand lies in the
innovative idea of temporary, rentable power
plants.
With all due respect to the efforts launched
by the governments, we observe that the
need of the hour is an efficient power
solution that is able to immediately and
economically bridge the gap in electricity
supply. Multi-megawatt temporary power
plants represent a viable short- to
medium-term solution to the region’s
hydropower challenges.
