The two areworking toward helping FiskerInc. fulfill as many of theUnited Nations’ sustainabilitygoals as possible.Fisker Inc. is working towardcompletion of its “affordable,all electric production-intent”SUV prototype. The companywill unveil the all-electric SUVat the end of this year, and itwill feature a range ofapproximately 275 to 30064
miles.The vehicle will also userecycled plastic from oceandebris, vegan leather, anda solar roof in its top-modelspec.Also, the vehicle will recyclewaste generated during tiremanufacturing. The vehicle willrecycle that waste — whichtypically goes to landfills – forvarious interior applications.Fisker Inc. says its long-termgoal is the creation of aconsumer platform that bringsdesirable, affordable andsustainable mobility to themass market.The company wants toenable a wider consumerbase to drive its premiumelectric vehicles. To do that,Fisker is working on what itdescribes as a “revolutionarydirect-to-consumer smartplatform,” which it says mightnot include sales of itsvehicles.Fisker Inc. says it willannounce details of itsaffordable, direct-toconsumere-mobility platformlater this year. That, accordingto the company, will break newbarriers of entry to affordable,clean mobility “without onerouslong-term contracts orexpensive upkeep.”“I am very excited to haveNikolaj participate in Fisker’smission of binging the world’smost sustainable, affordableand desirable electric vehiclesto mass market,” Fisker said ina news release. “I am lookingforward to working with him onlearning about and achievingU.N.’s sustainability goals”“Mass vehicle electrificationaround the world will make animmense impact on the fight tocombat climate change,” saidCoster-Waldau, who has alsopartnered with Google inimplementing its street-viewtool to raise awareness andshow the impacts of climatechange in Greenland. He hasalso traveled to Maldives toreport the effects of globalwarming.Coster-Waldau continued,“And although we’veprogressed, there’s still along way to go.
