SALISBURY CATHEDRAL<br />
CELEBRATES 800 YEARS!<br />
Within easy reach of the<br />
<strong>Great</strong> <strong>West</strong> Way celebrations<br />
mark the 800th Anniversary<br />
of the founding of Salisbury<br />
Cathedral, starting with Sarum<br />
Lights (18-22 February).<br />
Granted by the Pope in 1219,<br />
the Cathedral moved from<br />
Old Sarum to its current site,<br />
with the first stone of this<br />
remarkable building being laid<br />
on 28 April 1220.<br />

CALNE BIKE MEET<br />
2<strong>02</strong>0 will see the 20th year of<br />
the Calne Bike Meet, bringing<br />
together motorcyclists and the<br />
local community from far and<br />
wide. The small, Wiltshire town<br />
of Calne (where it is free to<br />
park) is taken over for the day by<br />
every variation of two wheeled<br />
machinery imaginable. A free<br />
event, held on the last Saturday<br />
in July, this year falling on the<br />
25th July with a live band taking<br />
to the stage at around 11am.<br />

its antique shops. Make<br />
time to visit and take a boat<br />

stop for coffee and cake at<br />
the Tutti Pole, or join one of<br />
