Alzheimer’s Support Groups
• The Alzheimer's Caregiver Support
group meets the first Thursday each month
at the Madison House on Keny Road, London.
A free supper starts at 6 p.m. with the
support group meeting afterward. Everyone

• The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets
at 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of each
month at Life in Christ Fellowship, 500

Auditor Appointment
The Madison County Republican Central
Committee will hold a special meeting
at 6 p.m. March 16 at London City Hall, 20
S. Walnut St., for the purpose of making an
appointment to the vacant position of London
city auditor.
Bingo
Bingo is played at 11 a.m. the third
Wednesday of each month at the Jeffersonian
Senior Center at the rear of 28 E. Main
St., West Jefferson. There is no charge to
play.
Cemetery Clean-Up
Spring cleaning for the Fairfield Township
cemeteries begins March 20. Winter
decorations and old flowers should be removed
prior to that date. New spring decorations
and Easter flowers will be honored.
Clothing Giveaway
United Church, 30 E. Columbus St.,
Mount Sterling, holds a clothing giveaway
from 9 to 11 a.m. the second Saturday of
each month. Use the side door on High
Street to enter the church basement. Everyone
is welcome. Take what you need; no
limit and no questions asked. If you plan to
visit the church to donate or pick up clothing,

Developmental Disabilities
The Madison County Board of Developmental
Disabilities will meet at 4 p.m.
March 19 at the administrative office, 500
Elm St., London. If the meeting needs to be
rescheduled, it will take place on the following
Thursday at the same time.
Easter Egg Hunts
• Mount Sterling Community Center’s
annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is set
for 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 11, rain or shine.
Age categories are: 2 and younger, 3-5, 6-8,
and 9-11. All are invited to go inside the
center after the hunt for activities, refreshments,
and a visit with the Easter Bunny.
The center is located at 164 E. Main St.
• First Presbyterian Church, 211
Garfield Ave., London, is holding its first
annual Community Easter Egg Hunt from
1 to 3 p.m. April 4. Age groups are 1-4, 5-7,
and 8-11. Lots of eggs, craft stations, face
painting, prize tokens, and one grand prize
for each age group. Bring a basket or bag.
The hunt will go on, rain, snow or shine (indoors,
if needed).
Euchre
Euchre is played at 6 p.m. the last Friday
of each month at the Jeffersonian Senior
Center at the rear of 28 E. Main St., West
Jefferson. There is no charge to play, but
snacks and finger foods are requested. For

West Jefferson Parks
and Recreation
The West Jefferson Parks and Recreation
Department is hosting the following
activities. The West Jefferson Community
Center is located at 230 Cemetery Rd. For

• Toddler Gym. Saturdays, 10-11:30
a.m., for families with children 5 years old
and younger. Play centers, games, toys and
a light snack. Adults must stay with their
children.
• Your Workout. Tuesday-Thursday, 9-
10 a.m., workout program to music, adaptable
to all levels. The instructor works from
donations. Dress comfortably and bring
water.
• Couples Dancing. Thursdays, 5-6 p.m.

• Art Show. All ages were invited to
enter pieces for the center’s annual art
show. The theme:s “Things that make me

March 14.

Mattress Fundraiser
Madison-Plains High School’s baseball
program is hosting its 1st Annual Mattress
Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 28.
For one day only, the high school will be
transformed into a mattress showroom.
Twenty-six mattress styles in all sizes,
priced below retail, will on display for customers
to try. Adjustable power bases, premium
pillows, bed frames and mattress
protectors will be available, as well. The
brands include Simmons Beautyrest, come
with full factory warranties, are made to
order, and will be available two to three
weeks after the fundraiser. Delivery is
available. The Madison-Plains baseball program
benefits from every purchase.
