“I’ve always enjoyed being in and around
cars. I looked at a few different types of
business options. I wanted something
with a customer base as I enjoy seeing
their satisfaction afterwards.
“With Espresso Carwash I liked the idea
of a service that offers a well-finished
job and helps people take pride in their
vehicles through having a professional
carwash and grooming service. By
providing well-groomed, detailed
vehicles we are adding value for our
customers.”
For Dene, a key benefit of taking on the
business was the two highly experienced
staff that came with it – Nav, who has
been there for six years and Thomas,
who has been there for nine years.
“They are highly skilled at what they
do and take great pride in providing a
professional grooming service for our
customers,” Dene says.
His wife Carolyn is also involved with
Espresso Carwash Ferrymead, as well
as teaching at St Margaret’s College,
and the two are enjoying starting out in
business together.
Becoming a business owner has not
been the only highlight of the new year
for Dene, he has also been appointed
head coach for the Alloyfold Canterbury
Wildcats, the premier women’s
basketball team, which competes in the
