How to pay your
real estate tax bill
Madison County Treasurer Donna L.
Landis is asking that taxpayers pay their
property taxes by mail instead of coming
into the office.
Landis is only allowing three people in
the office at a time. The courthouse is down
to one entrance, which is the basement entrance
that faces High Street. This could
change before June 22, but Landis wanted
taxpayers to know. Additionally, parking is
limited. Another alternative is to drop payments
in the box on the courthouse’s main
door that faces High Street.

SAYRE
Teresa “Teri” Lynn (Rosemeier) Sayre,
60, passed away on May 24, 2020, at Riverside
Methodist Hospital. Teri was born on
July 18, 1959, to Art and Suzanne
(Flickinger) Rosemeier. She grew up in
Hilliard, Ohio, where she enjoyed being a
part of 4-H, particularly working on sewing
and cooking projects. She graduated from
Hilliard High School in 1977 where she was
crowned homecoming queen. She went on to
attend Columbus Business University. Following
school, she worked for Central Ohio
Credit Union as an executive secretary. She
also worked as a secretary for Independent
Insurance Agents, as well as Hilliard Heritage
and Hilliard Memorial middle schools.

she had an energy about her that was impossible
to go unnoticed. That energy drew
people towards her and formed countless relationships
and friendships along the way.
Although, her chapter here on Earth is
closed, her time with us was invaluable and
will leave a lasting impression in its wake
for many years to come. She was preceded
in death by her loving mother, Suzanne
Rosemeier. She is survived by: husband,
David “Chris” Sayre; daughter, Kristen
(Jon) Witham; son, Shawn Sayre; grandchildren,
Lila, Luke and Emma who lovingly referred
to her as “Nana;” father, Art
Rosemeier; sister, Lynda (Gene) Martin;
brother, Rick (Bonnie) Rosemeier; and
many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7
p.m. June 26 at Tidd Funeral Home,
Hilliard, www.tiddfuneralservice.com,
where a funeral service will be held a 10
a.m. June 27. Inurnment will be at Wesley
Chapel Cemetery.
CAIN
Nathanial Michael “Nate” Cain, 19, died
on May 26, 2020 ,while swimming at Buck
Creek in Springfield. Born on July 27, 2000,
in London, he was a son of Joshua Kenny
and Miranda (Pernod) Cain. Nate had
worked at Burger King in London, was an
avid skateboarder and loved hanging out
with his family. Survivors include: his parents,
Josh and Mandy; brother, Jordan
Cain; twin brother, Nicholas “Nick” Cain;
and sister ,Jacquleyn Cain; aunts and uncles,
Jason (Chris) Cain, Tabitha (Chris)
Craft and Dylan (Beth) Pernod; grandparents,
Cindy and Tom Pernod and Jackie
Cain; and many friends and family. He was
preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack
Cain, and great-grandparents, Wilma and
Maurice Pernod. Funeral services were held
on June 1, 2020, in Eberle-Fisher Funeral
Home and Crematory, London. Memorial
contributions for the benevolence of the

McCLASKIE
Edward T. McClaskie, 75, of London died
on May 26, 2020, at London Health and Rehabilitation.
Ed was born on May 25, 1945,
in Range, the son of Fred and Kit Mc-
Claskie. He graduated from Madison South
High School where he enjoyed running
track. He began his adult life entering the
United States Army and was a Viet Nam
veteran. After his honorable discharge from
the military, he was employed at Shaw Elevator,
Lombards Fertilizer, was an over-theroad
truck driver with the CB handle,
"Redman," at Fleetwood, Wales Transport,
and retired from Davis Hay & Straw. He
loved his ’52 Chevy, "Ol' Gray," attending
car shows and swap meets, country music,
and his family. Ed is survived by: his daughters,
Anna McClaskie and Bridget Mc-
Claskie, both of London; grandchildren,
Cole (Renee) McClaskie of Sedalia, and
Gabby Cooper and Jack Fellows, both of
London; great-grandchildren, Brentley,
Berkley and Brayli, all of Sedalia; ex-wife,
Kathy McClaskie of London. Several special
friends and the family would like to thank
Hall 3 and 4 staff at London Health and Rehabilitation
for taking such good care of Ed.
Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces
and nephews, and great-great-nieces and
nephews. Also survived by wife, Paula Burton
McClaskie. Ed was preceded in death
by: his parents; his in-laws, Ed and Mary
Dwyer; brother, Fred McClaskie; sister,
Rachel Harrison; niece, Lynn Harrison. A
graveside service was held June 2 at Range
Township Cemetery, Sedalia, with the Rev.
Gordon Ell officiating. Online condolences

Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation
Service, London.
KIENZLE
Mary Kienzle, 81, of Plain City, passed
away on May 28, 2020. Arrangements are

GASKINS
Michael W. Gaskins, 61, of Columbus
succumbed to his illness on May 31, 2020,
and is now at peace. Michael was born on
Oct. 1, 1958. He was preceded in death by:
his mother, Georgia Gaskins; brother, Ron
Gaskins Jr.; and son, Michael Gaskins Jr.
Michael is survived by: his loving wife,
Paula Gaskins; sons, Steven Gaskins, Andrew
(Whitney) Reiter; daughter, Nicole
(Robert) Connor; grandchildren, Steven Jr.,
Miranda, Landon, Ariana, Kameron Gaskins,
Cameron Paugh, Robbie Connor, Gunner,
and Andi Reiter; sister, Terry (James)
Strickland; numerous nieces and nephews;
all of whom will miss him greatly. The family
receive friends on June 3 at Rader-Mc-
Donald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson.
