Mr. Houser: Now, if anybody, Dr. McMahon or anybody up here knows anything different,
please tell me because my understanding was he would be there.
Mr. Scully: From police experience the Board does not dictate who the police department sends
to what jobs go on. If he does not show up that night you have to talk to Chief Drexler because it
is Chief Drexler’s job and the Union’s position on who works that position.
Ms. Lally: I understand, absolutely.
Mr. Scully: But as far as the Board deciding he is not going to work that, that is not our decision,
it is the police department’s decision.
Ms. Lally: You are absolutely right, it shouldn’t be. My concern was this, when I am handed
this piece of paper when I walk in here, first I find out and you explained it, that he was removed
from Hooked on Fishing and then I see that somebody is being replaced. I can understand if the
program was being taken away altogether, but you are just replacing him and putting somebody
else there.
Mr. Scully: Can I just finish real quick then? Mr. Tatur and Mr. Mitchell would be the perfect
fit…
Ms. Lally: Let me finish.
Mr. Scully: Let me finish, you asked a question, can I finish?
Ms. Lally: I didn’t ask you anything, I didn’t, I am sorry, I didn’t.
Mr. Scully: Mr. Houser asked me to explain it to you.
Ms. Lally: OK, I know that you don’t pick them, I understand that and I agree with that you
should not pick them, but I want to make sure he is not being disqualified.
Mr. Scully: If you just heard what I said he is not being disqualified because we do not have the
right to disqualify him because the Union will make a grievance on that and it is up to the police
department and who works the job.
Ms. Lally: How many times have I sat up there and had people accuse us of things that we fully
know that it was not our decision. So, really, in theory, that is pretty. My issue is as long as he
is not being disqualified from the Prom and if this email is a hoax and Mrs. Becker did not say
that we should prevent this and call it the Mike Mitchell Show and that is not true, that is fine, I
am satisfied.
