11. Member Rights & Obligations<br />
11.1 Members, and others who agree to be bound by this Constitution and the Regulations,<br />
acknowledge and agree that:<br />
a. this Constitution constitutes a contract between each of them and SLSNZ and they are<br />
bound by this Constitution and the Regulations;<br />
b. they shall comply with and observe this Constitution and the Regulations and any<br />
reasonable determination, resolution or policy, which may be made or passed by the<br />
Board;<br />
c. they are subject to the jurisdiction of SLSNZ;<br />
d. this Constitution and Regulations are necessary and reasonable for promoting the<br />
Purposes of SLSNZ;<br />
e. this Constitution and Regulations are made in the pursuit of a common object, namely<br />
the mutual and collective benefit of SLSNZ, its Members, the general public and Surf<br />
Life Saving; and<br />
f. they are entitled to all rights, entitlements, and privileges of membership conferred by<br />
this Constitution.<br />
12. Register of Members<br />
12.1 SLSNZ: The Chief Executive Officer shall keep and maintain a Register in which shall be<br />
entered the full name, address, class of membership, the date of entry of each Member<br />
(including each Club), and any other details about each Member as agreed, and each Board<br />
Member.<br />
12.2 Changes: All Clubs shall inform SLSNZ of any change to its details in Rule 12.1, and the<br />
details of its Individual Members, to SLSNZ in the manner prescribed by SLSNZ within thirty<br />
(30) days of being notified of such change. All Individual Members shall inform their Club in<br />
the manner prescribed by SLSNZ, of any change to the details in Rule 12.1 within thirty (30)<br />
days of such change. All other Members shall inform SLSNZ of any change to the details in<br />
Rule 12.1 in the manner prescribed by SLSNZ.<br />
12.3 Privacy Act: SLSNZ and the Clubs shall, in collecting personal information from individuals<br />
for the Register, seek the consent of the individual concerned and at all times comply with the<br />
Privacy Act 1993.<br />
12.4 Inspection: Any Member’s entry on the Register shall be available for inspection by that<br />
Member and the Board Members, upon reasonable request and in compliance with the<br />
Privacy Act 1993.<br />
