Fire in Middletown
A fire at our Middletown facility posed a challenge to
firefighters due to strong winds. Crews worked throughout
the night and into the morning to extinguish the blaze. No
one was in the facility at the time of the fire and no
firefighters were injured while responding. We are
thankful to the brave firefighters from The Westfield Fire
Department along with several other towns that assisted
with the fire and subsequent cleanup – Middletown South
Fire, Meriden, Middlefield, Cromwell, Berlin, East Berlin,
Portland, Newington, Rocky Hill, Deep River, Clinton,
Guilford, Haddam and Farmington.
A big THANK YOU for the hard work and dedication to
all those that came out and did their part to help: Jeff
Attleboro, Rich Bursztyn, Ken Conley, Bill Corbett,
Barry Gately, Paul Godin, Don Hinds, Rob Hinds,
Jeff Holmes, Bryan Kelly, Mike Laplante, Jaime
Marino, Hector Moreles, John Ortiz, Shawn Sniffin,

20, 2020. Keene State is a leader
in this field of study, and we hope to gain
valuable new team members from this
program.

9 Shoham Hosts
East Windsor Girl Scouts
On February 8, 2020 an East Windsor Girl Scout troop visited 9
Shoham Road for a tour of our C&D processing facility and a
broader conversation on recycling.
Thank you to Frank Paszek for giving the tour and to Mike
Laplante and April Regan for organizing, and our safety team for
getting all the gear together for our guests!
