The Cancer Center entered a new era <strong>of</strong> biomedical research<br />
with the open<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> the Wiscons<strong>in</strong> Institutes for Medical<br />
Research’s (WIMR) East Tower. WIMR br<strong>in</strong>gs together basic<br />
science <strong>and</strong> cl<strong>in</strong>ical researchers from across the UW campus<br />
to address complex health care problems <strong>and</strong> to speed the<br />
transfer <strong>of</strong> science to the people who will benefit from it.<br />
